About us
Award-winning artist, Rita Wickramasinghe has created Batik Wall Art for over 35 years. Currently living in Florida, she brought this 3000-year-old art to the United States several years ago from her home country of Sri Lanka.
Rita has won many top honors. Her art has been featured in several magazines and newspapers. Art connoisseurs have enjoyed her various styles, which range from wildlife, marine life, abstract art and flower designs. She often enjoys incorporating social and/or spiritual themes into her art.
Although others have used technology to streamline the art process, Rita has laboriously kept the art form true. True Batik art will show a two-sided mirror image. The very time-consuming application and removal of wax are respected.
